IMH Recruitment are currently seeking a Town Centre PSPO Enforcement Officer for our client based in Bolton, BL3.
About the Role:
You will play a key role in reducing anti-social behaviour, improving the local environment, and enforcing Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) and environmental regulations across Bolton, including the town centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol designated areas and provide a visible enforcement presence.
- Detect, deter, and address anti-social behaviour.
- Enforce PSPOs, littering offences, and environmental regulations.
- Issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and prepare enforcement notices.
- Gather evidence and investigate incidents to support legal action and prosecutions.
- Maintain accurate records using PACE notebooks and other systems.
- Attend court as a witness when required.
- Engage with members of the public, offering guidance, support, and warnings where appropriate.
- Work closely with partner agencies, stakeholders, and council services.
- Promote community responsibility and environmental improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- Understanding of anti-social behaviour legislation and enforcement practices.
- Knowledge of issues affecting local communities and town centres.
- Experience working with the public and handling challenging situations.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to remain professional and authoritative when necessary.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic DBS is required for this role.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday however, some early evenings and occasional weekends required
- £16.43 per hour
- Initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend to 12 months and beyond
- Weekly pay via agency!
